Bundessieger-Show Dortmund 2013
Finally is was time, the Bundessieger-Exhibition in Dortmund was imminent and our tension was huge. The only show in Germany, where you get the chance to receive a ticket to CRUFTS 2014. Our great desire – visiting England with Merly –.
Before Johanna‘s and Merly’s turn, me, Turner and Queenie had to climb the ring. Turner was cool as usual and was recognized by the judges right away, who said: “You were in Denmark! And he is still amazing!” He received a great judge’s report.
Queenie was next! She did a very good job as well and managed to stand still longer than before. Even though, she also received a great judge’s report, Turner was able to win the Best Youngest Dog of the Race. Then, it was finally Johanna‘s turn with Merly, who had been fighting back her tears caused by excitement (the WDR camera team did not make the situation any better). My dream team showed themselves from their best side.
Merly got the popular title „Bundes-Jugensieger 2013“ and became the Best Dog of the Race as well!
Herewith, we had our ticket to Birmingham.
We are very proud of our “Vaskurs Marion Jones Skumpandotter” from the house of Jenny Haff and are very excited about a meeting with many Merly siblings in march!!!
In the evening, it was time for Johanna and Merly to enter the ring of glory with the starting number 35 for the Best Dog of the FCI group 5. It is always astonishing to see, how there are so many race representatives in this group. My dream team reached the playoff of the top 8 elected by group judge “Jörgen Hindse DK”. Even though it did not suffice for the podium this time, I am always so proud to see those two and what they do together as well as for each other!
