ESA Dortmund 2016 Day 1
On Thursday noon we started our trip to Dortmund with all 6 dogs and our driving hotel. After arriving, there weren’t spaces in shadow left but the parking lot attendant was gracious and he gave us a place where we could use power. So at least the ventilator could make for cooling. When everything was built-on, we had a nice relaxed evening.
On Friday morning we brought our fence into the hall still before eating breakfast, and without being failed through crowds. The 5 entered Pharaohs should be the first breed in the ring. Under judge Rita van Reyniers from Belgium, Turner was the first – he won the championclass and later also the BOB. Next one was BetteBette. Visible impressed from the acoustic level in the halls, she did a very good job and got the last needed point for the Junior-Champion VDH. Last one in the ring was Queenie. She won against her competitior in the class and got an Exc. 1, CACIB and finally the BOS. Now it was time to relax and wait for the mainring and the juniorhandling competition.
The judge who was designated for the juniorhandling was busy and so Petra Kusch was the “new” judge for this competition. Johanna and Merly made a nice performance but were unseeded. For the judge the general view was too “hectically”… In the mainring of group 5 there was nothing for Turner today, as we had expected it under judge A. Kammerscheid-Lammers from Germany.
Following it was a relaxed evening with the view to a very quiet Saturday.
