11 little miracles are born...

Saturday, March 16, 2013

We know there is "no rule without exception" and therefore Killarney delivered on the 59th day.

Killarney gave birth in the exact same manner like she is, meaning calm, relaxed and with confidence.

It went like a storybook, within 6 hours 11 healthy puppies saw the light of day. Now Heartland has 11 small miracles and for the next week

"Rose, Riley, Jake, Matt, Tess, Claire, Harry, Dave, Luke, Sally & Ashley".

will be living in my bedroom.

We are tremendously proud of our mother and her puppies and share the happiness with all the intended owners of our little ones (and people who would like to become a "Aim high" owner to).

Just click on the category "Puppies" to see actual pictures of our little ones.

Today, we had a beautiful day!

Saturday, February 16, 2013

We know that paper doesn´t blush and therefore all future puppy parents had been invited to get first dibs on the prospective papa "Matakima Caito". We all were captivated by Matakima Ciato´s elegancy as well as confidence.

During the day our living room was very crowded, we had coffee and cake and the chance to talk, laugh and cuddle with the dogs. Keeping in mind that at least two puppies will become a new  member of a family that already had Ridgebacks for several years. But even newcomers in terms of Ridgebacks enjoyed the day and could gather new information and experience the delight of having a dog. At the end we all couldn´t wait to see the birth of our little "lion hunters" with the ridge of hair along their back.

Even though Killarney spends currently most of her time on my beds pillow, she really enjoyed cuddling, eating goodies and spending the day with us and papa Ciato. They are a beautiful and young couple and it is always nice to meet the early love...

Now it's official...

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Today was the day... Day 24 and the "hour of truth" was here.

Actually I've planned to go to the clinic on wednesday, but I just couldn't stand it anymore.

The ultrasound has confirmed it - Queenie and Turner are going to be parents! We have seen 6 little beating hearts <3 Let's see if we will have 6 puppies or if there was one who was hiding today.

Now it's time to to keep all fingers and paws crossed. If everything will be okay, we are expecting our first Pharaoh puppies at Heartland around 6th July.

Killarney is pregnant

Monday, February 11, 2013

Finally, the waiting is over. Today, 27 days after the mating we went to the medical ultrasonic.

And there it was, the first dog puppy, followed by the second, third, fourth...the veterinarian stopped counting after the 8th with the phrase "there are a lot of puppies".

We are thrilled about the upcoming time and expect the small puppies around March 20th with the beginning of spring.

Now it will take only fews days for Killarney & Caito to ring the wedding bells and the "A-litter" planning will reach its next step.

BHV Dog Handler License

Saturday, September 22, 2012

On the 22nd of September, Killarney got his "BHV Dog Handler License level 2" at the dog schooling complex Kirmizi.

After the first unit with a leash and without a leash, which was successfully accomplished by swotty Killarney, we continued with the theoretic part at the Niendorfer Gehege in Hamburg. Here, the dogs and their owners were confronted with everyday situations (joggers, bikers, strange dogs) before the eyes of the examiners. This was also no big obstacle for my puppy as she is always calm and compliant.
All the others were able to accomplish these tasks and we continued walking into a alive shopping street. It was very crowded on this Saturday noon, which did not seem to disturb our dogs. At last, we went into a restaurant, where Killarney could again prove that she is familiar with these situations. She coiled up in her blanket and waited until we had finished our delicious meal and received our certificate.

We thereby officially prove, that Killarney is pleasant in everyday situations with strange people and dogs and that she can move freely without a leash in a lot of German states.

National Dog Show Aarhus (DK) 2012

Saturday, August 25, 2012

This should be our last stay in Denmark this year.

With Johanna by my side, who wanted to smell exhibition air again, we took off North at 6 o’clock in the morning.

The Ridgebacks were judged by Ole Staunskjaer (DK). Despite the famous Danish competitors, Killarney was able to win the V1 with CK in the open class.

During the play-off afterwards, Killarney became too coltish and had to give the BOS of the bitches away. Merely, she could win the long awaited CAC DK, which has been in close reach for a long time.

Ballerup DK 2012

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Once again, Denmark was on the journey plan, but this time to Ballerup. On two days, Killarney and Sven had to hold their own in the strongly engaged open class.

On Sunday, they could win a wonderful V2 with CK under judge Diane T. Anderson (USA).

On Sunday, all of that was enhanced:

Under the demanding eyes of judge Jean-Pierre Achtergael (BE), they could both win a V1 with CK in the open bitches’ class and could afterwards take a Res. CAC DK home.
